Prerna Lakshya App: An Educational Assessment Tool
Prerna Lakshya App is an educational assessment tool developed by the Department of School Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh, India. Designed as part of the Mission Prerna initiative, this app allows teachers, parents, and guardians to assess students' learning levels against the competencies of Prerna Lakshya for classes 1 to 5.
The app focuses on foundational learning skills, including reading with a minimum WCPM (words correct per minute), reading with comprehension, and solving math problems. Users can simply select the class and subject they want to test the child on and start the assessment. Students who achieve their class-relevant Prerna Lakshya competencies are celebrated as "Prerak Balak Balika," while those who haven't reached the competency level are encouraged to continue practicing and retake the test.
Please note that the app requires internet connectivity during the initial run, but it becomes optional afterward. However, connecting to the internet is recommended to increase the number of test questions. Additionally, the app requires the Read Along (Bolo) Application to be installed on the same phone, with the language set to Hindi and the partner code "upprerna" added through the top left-hand menu button.
